MINA, May 27 — As part of the Saudi Ministry of Defence’s integrated readiness system, the Air Defence Forces are assigned to protect the skies over the holy sites during Haj 1447 AH, utilising advanced defence systems and qualified personnel working around the clock, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported.
The efforts are to ensure the security of pilgrims and facilitate the performance of their rituals in an atmosphere of safety and reassurance.
The forces are implementing precise operational plans in coordination with various military and security sectors, including activating air surveillance and monitoring systems and modern interception capabilities, while continuously tracking the air situation and maintaining a high level of readiness to respond immediately to any potential threats.
The participation of the Air Defence Forces in the Haj mission reflects the integration of efforts among military and security entities in serving pilgrims, within a cohesive national framework aimed at enhancing safety and security in the holy sites.
