PLUS Urges Motorists to Plan Return Journey Using MyPLUS-TTA Ahead of Peak Congestion From June 4–7

PETALING JAYA, June 3 — Plus Malaysia Berhad (PLUS) is urging motorists returning to the Klang Valley after the Hari Raya Aidiladha and extended festive holidays to plan their journeys early using the MyPLUS-TTA digital travel schedule to avoid heavy congestion.

The highway concessionaire said it expects a significant surge in traffic volume across its network during the return commute period, particularly on Peak Days identified as June 4, 5, 6 and 7, 2026.

PLUS said it anticipates nearly 2.2 million vehicles per day on its highways during these peak days, driven by long-distance travel as well as inter-city movement as holidaymakers return to major urban centres after the festive and school holiday period.

“The public is advised to adhere to the MyPlus-TTA schedule, accessible via the PLUS App, and to plan their return journey according to the suggested travel times,” the company said in a statement today.

It added that the initiative is aimed at balancing traffic flow and reducing congestion at key hotspots along the highway network.

As part of its festive traffic management plan, PLUS said Smart Lane routes have been activated at 33 strategic locations along its highways.

It also assured that all public facilities at Rest and Service Areas (R&Rs) and lay-bys, including food and beverage outlets, suraus and toilets, will remain open 24 hours throughout the period.

Motorists are also encouraged to plan their rest and prayer stops at designated facilities along toll plazas and highway stretches to ensure smoother travel.

PLUS advised highway users to ensure sufficient Touch ‘n Go card balances or e-wallet funds for RFID and JustGO users before starting their journey to avoid disruptions at toll plazas.

For assistance, motorists can contact PlusLine at 1800-88-0000 or LPT2Line at 1800-88-0220.

Traffic updates are available via the Plus App, Waze and Google Maps, as well as the Virtual Assistant (PUTRI), @plustrafik and @lpt2trafik on X, electronic message boards (VMS) along the highway, and national radio stations.

PLUS also reminded motorists to drive carefully and plan their return journeys responsibly for the safety of all road users.
