Saudi Arabia Urges Pilgrims to Use Umrah and Visit Guide

MAKKAH, July 15 — The Saudi Ministry of Haj and Umrah has urged those wishing to perform Umrah and visit the Prophet’s Mosque to use the “Umrah and Visit Guide” available on its website, Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported.

The guide provides educational and organisational information to facilitate the performance of rituals and visits with ease and tranquillity, enabling pilgrims to prepare for their spiritual journey.

Available in 16 languages, the guide offers comprehensive information covering every stage of the Umrah and visit journey, from pre-travel preparations, visa procedures, and entry requirements to ihram, performing the rituals, transportation, and visiting the Prophet’s Mosque, and departure procedures.

The guide follows a chronological format that accompanies pilgrims and visitors throughout their journey, enabling quick access to information relevant to each stage. It also includes interactive maps, links to digital services, and visual guidance to help pilgrims perform the rituals in accordance with the Sunnah while benefiting from available services.

The guide features detailed information on miqats, the etiquette of ihram, tawaf, sa’i, prayer at the Two Holy Mosques, and the etiquette of visiting holy sites. It also provides organisational instructions, health and safety guidelines, emergency contact numbers, and digital services needed throughout the journey.

In addition, the guide includes direct links to electronic platforms and services that facilitate access to the latest official information.

The ministry said the “Umrah and Visit Guide” is part of its ongoing awareness initiatives aimed at enhancing awareness, promoting compliance with regulations, and enabling pilgrims and visitors to perform their rituals with ease and peace of mind.

The initiative reflects the ministry’s continued efforts to improve the quality of services provided to pilgrims and visitors.
