MOSCOW, July 23 — Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and United States (US) Secretary of State Marco Rubio have agreed to continue contacts between the foreign ministries, including within the framework of international organisations, the Russian Foreign Ministry said on Thursday, reported Sputnik/RIA Novosti.
“An agreement has been reached to continue contacts between the foreign ministries, including within the framework of the two countries’ participation in the work of international organisations,” the ministry said in a statement following their meeting in Manila.
Lavrov and Rubio also discussed the issue of normalising working conditions of the diplomatic missions of Russia and the US, the statement read.
“Sergey Lavrov and Marco Rubio welcomed the resumption of full-fledged contacts between the state-owned companies Roscosmos and NASA, and also called for the development of interparliamentary exchanges and cultural ties,” the ministry added.
