KANGAR, March 26 — The Perlis Health Department (JKNP) is targeting 1,500 visitors to Rumah Sihat Keluarga Malaysia today, which is held in conjunction with the state-level ‘Jelajah Aspirasi Keluarga Malaysia’ or Malaysian Family Aspirations (AKM) Tour programme.

The Rumah Sihat Keluarga Malaysia is among the focus of the public in the three-day programme which will conclude tomorrow.

JKNP senior assistant director (Health Promotion) Mohd Faizal Rosli said various services were provided free of charge to the public such as health screenings, fitness tests, risk assessments and dental examinations.

Health screening services include blood pressure check, blood sugar content, body mass index (BMI), fitness check involving body fat percentage and fitness test.

“Apart from that, risk assessment services such as pre-marital HIV screening test and 10-minute aerobic exercise are also provided,” he told Bernama at the Tuanku Syed Putra Sports Complex here.

He said various exhibitions were also held such as communication for behaviour impact (COMBI) for the prevention of dengue fever and awareness of tuberculosis.

“Members of the public should seize these free services at Rumah Sihat Keluarga Malaysia,” he said.
