DHAKA, Aug 11– Bangladeshi Prime Minister Tarique Rahman conveyed his prayers and warm wishes for the speedy recovery of Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha (BSS) reported.
In a message posted on the Prime Minister’s Office Facebook page, Tarique offered prayers and warm wishes for Anwar’s good health and strength.
“I pray that the Honourable Prime Minister of Malaysia, Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, makes a speedy and full recovery. May Allah bless him with lasting health and strength.
“The people of Bangladesh join me in conveying our warmest wishes to our nation’s valued friend,” the Prime Minister said in the message.
Anwar’s medical team head, Datuk Dr Asri Ranga Abdullah Ramaiah, said in a statement posted on Facebook on Monday that the prime minister had successfully undergone an elective laparoscopic surgical procedure to treat a para-umbilical hernia.
