Johan Setia in Selangor Continues to Record Unhealthy Air Quality

KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 18 — Johan Setia in Selangor continued to record unhealthy air quality this morning, with the Air Pollutant Index (API) reading reaching 160 as at 10 am.

The condition has persisted for several days, with the area recording API readings above 100, classified as unhealthy.

According to data from the Malaysian Air Pollutant Index Management System (APIMS) portal, 65 stations nationwide recorded moderate API readings of between 51 and 100, while Langkawi in Kedah and Perlis recorded good readings below 50.

An API reading of 0 to 50 indicates good air quality, 51 to 100 moderate, 101 to 200 unhealthy, 201 to 300 very unhealthy, while readings above 300 are classified as hazardous.

API data is released hourly based on readings recorded at 68 air quality monitoring stations nationwide.
