KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 27 – The Federation of Chinese Associations Malaysia (FCAM), alongside Malaysia Zhigong Tang and the Malaysia-China Entrepreneurs Association (PUCM), hosted a farewell dinner on Saturday to honour outgoing Chinese Ambassador Ouyang Yujing for his transformative five-year tenure in Malaysia.
FCAM President Dato’ Lim Kim Song praised Ambassador Ouyang for taking a dual approach to diplomacy: fostering economic growth while actively cultivating public goodwill across all sectors of Malaysian society.
“In the hearts of the Chinese community, Ambassador Ouyang is more than a diplomat,” Lim stated during his address. “He has truly become one of our own.”
Lim noted that Ouyang consistently reinforced the message that Malaysia and China are mutually supportive partners—creating a stable, predictable foundation for bilateral trade.
He cited Ouyang’s practice of holding multi-lingual dialogues with local associations and media following high-level visits to ensure state agreements were effectively put into practice.
