NEW DELHI, Feb 12 – The air forces of Malaysia and Japan on Monday discussed cooperation in the field of humanitarian assistance and disaster relief (HADR), and closer relations through knowledge sharing.
Royal Malaysian Air Force (RMAF) chief General Tan Sri Datuk Sri Mohd Asghar Khan Goriman Khan met Lieutenant General Takuto Ogasawara, chief of staff of Japan’s Air Self-Defense Force, in Bangalore city, where both are attending an aviation show.
Their talks covered bilateral cooperation in HADR and subject matter expert exchange (SMEE), a Malaysian High Commission official told Bernama.
The five-day biennial defence and aerospace exhibition Aero India, inaugurated by Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday at the Yelahanka Air Force Station in Bangalore, has attracted about 100 foreign companies among its 800 exhibitors.
