KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 2 — Yang di-Pertuan Agong Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah today conferred the Darjah Panglima Gagah Pasukan Polis (PGPP) award on Bukit Aman Special Branch director Datuk Seri Mohd Khalid Ismail.

Mohd Khalil led the list of 299 recipients of police gallantry awards and medals at the second session of the investiture ceremony held at Istana Negara here.

The first session was held last Tuesday.

Other recipients of the PGPP award were Bukit Aman Logistic and Technology Department director Datuk Seri Sahabudin Abd Manan, Bukit Aman Commercial Crimes Investigation Department director Datuk Seri Ramli Mohamed Yoosuf and Bukit Aman Management (Training) deputy director Datuk Nerita Yaacob.

Johor Police chief Datuk Kamarul Zaman Mamat and Kelantan Police chief Datuk Muhamad Zaki Harun also received the PGPP award.

Al-Sultan Abdullah also conferred the Darjah Panglima Setia Pasukan Polis award on 60 recipients, Darjah Pahlawan Pasukan Polis award to 87 recipients, Darjah Kesatria Pasukan Polis award to 15 recipients and the Darjah Kebesaran Bentara Pasukan Polis award to 131 recipients.

The police gallantry awards were conferred to qualified police officers and personnel of other ranks for their contributions and sacrifices to the police forces.

The investiture ceremony was also attended by Deputy Home Minister Datuk Seri Shamsul Anuar Nasarah, Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Razarudin Husain and Deputy Inspector-General of Police Datuk Seri Ayob Khan Mydin Pitchay.
