PETALING JAYA, Sept 8: The health ministry today reported 100 new Covid-19 infections, with 62 of the cases from the Benteng cluster in Sabah, bringing the total number of cases nationwide to 9,559.
Of the 100, 85 are local transmissions.
Health director-general Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said there were 23 new cases in the Sungai cluster in Kedah.
He said 12 patients were discharged today, bringing the total number of patients who have recovered from the virus to 9,136 or 95.57% .
No new deaths were reported today, keeping the death toll at 128 .
