KANGAR, Dec 31 — Raja Muda of Perlis, Tuanku Syed Faizuddin Putra Jamalullail is encouraging more tourism-based investments to be developed and implemented in Perlis to improve the tourism sector in the state.
In a statement by Istana Arau today, Tuanku Syed Faizuddin Putra said such investments include hotels, theme parks and lookout points.
“Local youths are also encouraged to enter this field, especially service-based sectors, to ensure that efforts will continue and become the backbone that supports the tourism industry,” he said after presenting souvenirs to Holiday Villa Hotel & Residence, Doha region general manager Joey Chen in conjunction with Visit Perlis Year 2024-2025 in Qatar recently.
Also in attendance were Raja Puan Muda of Perlis, Tuanku Dr Hajah Lailatul Shahreen Akashah Khalil, and his children, Sharifah Khatreena Nuraniah, Sharifah Farah Adriana and Syed Sirajuddin Areeb Putra Jamalullail.
The Raja Muda was accompanied by Malaysian ambassador to Qatar Zamshari Shaharan and his wife Fazlinda Fudzil.
