KOTA KINABALU, Sept 26  — Sabah Perikatan Nasional (PN) chairman Datuk Hajiji Noor retained his Sulaman state seat, which he had held since 1990, in the 16th Sabah state election today.

Hajiji, 65, who is also Sabah Bersatu chief, won the seat on PN ticket with a 3,099 vote-majority.

He garnered 5,919 votes in the three-cornered fight against his nephew Datuk Aliasgar Basri (Warisan) who secured 2,820 votes and Datuk Rekan Hussien of  Parti Cinta Sabah (PCS), who obtained only 253 votes.
