Putrajaya Oct 11–The health ministry has reported 561 Covid-19 cases over the past 24 hours.
Health director-general Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said there were 133 recoveries, bringing the total number of those discharged to 10,913, or 69.7% of the total infections.
In a Facebook post, Noor Hisham said the 561 new cases bring the total number of cases in the country to 15,657.
A total of 4,587 people are still being treated. Ninety of them are in the intensive care unit, with 29 requiring respiratory assistance.
Two deaths have been recorded, bringing the death toll to 157, or 1% of the total number of cases.
