KUALA LUMPUR, June 21 – Ann Joo Resources Bhd’s wholly owned subsidiary, Ann Joo Metal Sdn Bhd, has secured a RM297.90 million construction contract from Tenaga Nasional Bhd subsidiary.
In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, Ann Joo Resources said the contract is from TNB’s subsidiary Tenaga Switchgear Sdn Bhd and involves electrification of feeder stations along the East Coast Rail Link (ECRL) in Terengganu and Pahang.
The filing said Ann Joo’s unit, with consortium partner Indonesia’s PT Lumintu Insan Mandiri, was awarded the design and build project for the electrification of the feeder stations, including a 132kV switching station, overhead transmission lines, underground cable installation and associated works.
The feeder stations involved are FS03-Sg Tong, Terengganu, FS04-Merchang, Terengganu, FS05 Kemasek, Terengganu, FS07-Gambang, Pahang and FS08-Maran, Pahang.
“The ECRL electrification project is expected to be completed by May 31, 2026, and is expected to contribute positively to group revenue and earnings for financial years 2024 and 2025,” the filing said.
