JAKARTA, Aug 6 – Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan stated that President-elect Prabowo Subianto plans to announce his cabinet a day after his inauguration on October 21, 2024.
Prabowo will be inaugurated on October 20 as President of the Republic of Indonesia for the 2024–2029 period.
Prabowo conveyed his plan to Pandjaitan when the two attended a limited meeting with President Joko Widodo at the Presidential Palace, Jakarta, on Monday (August 5).
“He said he would announce his cabinet on October 21 followed by a cabinet meeting on October 23,” Pandjaitan revealed when met on Tuesday, Antara reported.
“He is optimistic that Prabowo would immediately get to work on his duty, including resolving problems and challenges currently being faced, such as the palm oil plantation database and audits.
“Our country is very abundant. I am glad that our president-elect understands this advantage,” the minister said.
