KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 22 – The Police are monitoring social media for statements made by individuals or groups in relation to GISB Holdings Sdn Bhd (GISBH).

Inspector-General of Police, Tan Sri Razarudin Husain, said this comes in response to recent revelations by individuals as well as current and former members associated with GISBH.

Following this, a special team from Bukit Aman’s Criminal Investigation Department has been tasked with overseeing social media activity related to the matter.

“We urge those with any disclosures or information to come forward and assist with the investigation,” he said.

Razarudin said investigations are still ongoing following the fourth phase of Op Global, conducted across Peninsular Malaysia yesterday, which saw the arrest of 155 individuals and the rescue of 186 victims.

“Our focus remains on this issue before moving on to the next phase of the operation,” he said.

On Sept 11, the police carried out Op Global, which saw raids on 20 charity homes in Selangor and Negeri Sembilan linked to GISBH, suspected of child exploitation and promoting alleged indoctrination.

Since the operation, several people have taken to social media to share their personal experiences and perspectives on religious beliefs, including concerns over cult-like practices.
