SEPANG, Oct 24 – Multi-faceted public-listed property developer, Sunsuria Bhd plans to establish two other Concord College International School (CCIS) campuses in Malaysia, said Sunsuria Education chief executive officer (CEO) Tan Ling Ling.

She said the decision made was due to encouraging recruitment and growing demand for international schools here.

Tan, however, did not disclose the allocation to be set aside for the establishment of two more Concord campuses as it is still in the early planning stage.

“We are aiming to establish two more Concord international schools in Malaysia. Of course, these are long-term plans for us. We aim to prioritise the quality of academics with the support from a strong academic team, as we are working together in shaping the future of our children,” she told a press conference following the recent launch of the CCIS in SunSuria City, Sepang.

According to Tan, the CCIS in SunSuria City is expected to have a total of approximately 400 students in the next academic year.

In July, Sunsuria executive chairman Tan Sri Datuk Ter Leong Yap was reported as saying that plans are afoot to expand Concord nationwide – with additional campuses in Ampang and Penang. He, however, emphasised that the team’s top priority now is ensuring the successful operations of the CCIS in Sunsuria City.

CCIS opened its doors to students on Sept 2, 2024. Situated on a 4.046-hectare land in Sunsuria City in Sepang, the school offers a broad and balanced education based on the English National Curriculum for Primary, Secondary and Sixth Form (A-Level) aged five to 18 years old.
