KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 14 – Touch ’n Go Sdn Bhd (TNG) is encouraging motorists to use Near Field Communication (NFC)-enabled cards and Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) tags for smoother travel during the upcoming long weekend and Malaysia Day celebrations.
In a statement, the company said users can conveniently reload their TNG NFC cards or charms via the TNG eWallet app, without the need for cash or visits to physical top-up kiosks.
“These NFC cards and charms come in various attractive designs, including collaborations with local artists and brands, reflecting TNG’s commitment to supporting creativity and preserving Malaysia’s cultural heritage,” it said.
TNG also advised users to register their cards in the eWallet app for added security. The Know Your Customer (KYC) identity verification process ensures card balances remain protected in the event of loss or theft.
Meanwhile, RFID tags linked to the TNG e-wallet allow users to pass through toll plazas without stopping. In cases of insufficient balance, the new ‘SOS Balance’ feature lets eligible users proceed and settle the payment within 24 hours, without additional charges.
TNG reaffirmed its commitment to enhancing user convenience, safety and mobility, while continuing to introduce innovations that support stress-free, efficient travel.
The products are available online at shop.touchngo.com.my and at TNG Service and Sales Centres in Nu Sentral and Bangsar South, as well as selected convenience stores and petrol stations.
