PETALING JAYA,Jan 20: The health ministry has reported 4,008 Covid-19 cases and 11 deaths in the past 24 hours, the second time the number has crossed the 4,000 cases mark.
Health director-general Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said there were 2,374 recoveries, bringing the total number of those discharged to 127,662.
In a tweet, the ministry said the total number of infections now stands at 169,379. There are 41,087 active cases with 246 patients being treated in intensive care and 96 requiring respiratory assistance.
Meanwhile, the 11 deaths bring the number of fatalities to 630.
