KUALA LUMPUR, Dec 7 — AirAsia group of airlines has clinched a triple victory at the World Travel Awards (WTA) Grand Final 2025 in Bahrain — the “World’s Leading Low-Cost Airline”, the “World’s Leading Low-Cost Airline Cabin Crew”, and the “World’s Leading Long-Haul Low-Cost Airline” awards.
In a statement today, AirAsia said it has once again been named the World’s Leading Low-Cost Airline, marking its 13th consecutive year of global leadership, while its cabin crew also continue their reign as the World’s Leading Low-Cost Airline Cabin Crew for the ninth time.
Meanwhile, AirAsia X (AAX) retained its title as the World’s Leading Long-Haul Low-Cost Airline for the third consecutive year, reaffirming its strength in redefining affordable long-haul travel.
AAX chief executive officer Benyamin Ismail said the award was a true testament to the airline’s dedication to upholding the high standards it sets and the trust it has earned from more than 50 million travellers and counting since 2007.
WTA founder Graham E-Cooke said the dedication and professionalism of the AirAsia team continue to set new benchmarks across the global aviation industry.
