KUALA LUMPUR, Dec 17 — TQ Wuling today officially launched the TQ Wuling Bingo electric vehicle (EV) in Malaysia, priced between RM67,800 and RM72,800.
TQ Manufacturing Sdn Bhd is a wholly owned subsidiary of Tan Chong Motor Holdings Bhd, established to lead the group’s collaboration with SGM Wuling (SAIC-GM-Wuling). This partnership is branded as TQ Wuling.
In a statement today, TQ said the locally assembled compact electric hatchback is offered in two well-equipped variants — the Bingo PRO priced at RM67,800 and the Bingo MAX at RM72,800 — positioning it as one of the most affordable EV options available in Malaysia.
To celebrate the launch, TQ Wuling is offering exclusive benefits under Bingo’s Fabulous Five Perks, which include a RM5,000 cash rebate. This brings the on-the-road price to RM62,800 for the Bingo PRO and RM67,800 for the Bingo MAX.
It said the TQ Wuling Bingo is the first model introduced under the TQ Wuling brand.
“As the first EV to be locally assembled at the Tan Chong plant — built on nearly 50 years of automotive manufacturing and assembly heritage — the Bingo EV reflects our commitment to advancing the nation’s electric mobility landscape.
“We are honoured to play a humble role in driving Malaysia’s automotive ecosystem forward,” said Tan Chong Motor Holdings group chief executive officer Daniel Ho.
TQ noted that the first 500 customers who make a booking and place an order for the TQ Wuling Bingo EV are entitled to Bingo’s Fabulous Five Perks worth over RM12,000.
“Customers can place their bookings via the tqwuling.my website. A RM50 booking fee is required to be among the first to secure the Bingo EV,” it said.
The company said the vehicle is engineered for long-term reliability, with its battery carrying an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance, offering peace of mind when driving in Malaysia’s unpredictable weather, including heavy rain or flood-prone areas.
“For the Malaysian market, TQ Wuling offers three body colour options — milky white, neon blue and lavender purple — all paired with a black roof.
“Malaysia becomes the first market globally to offer the Bingo EV with six airbags,” it said.
To support customers, TQ said that six dedicated TQ Wuling showrooms are already operating across Peninsular Malaysia, complemented by seven after-sales centres through the established Tan Chong service network, with additional outlets planned.
