Former PM Abdullah Badawi’s Remains Arrive At National Mosque Ahead Of State Funeral

KUALA LUMPUR, April 15 – The remains of Malaysia’s Fifth Prime Minister Tun Abdullah Ahmad Badawi arrived at the National Mosque at 8.15am today for the funeral arrangements.

Abdullah will be accorded a state funeral at the Heroes’ Mausoleum.

The lying-in-state will take place at the mosque’s Main Prayer Hall, where members of the public can pay their last respects from 11am to 1pm.

The funeral prayer will be performed after the zuhur prayer at the National Mosque.

Abdullah passed away at the National Heart Institute (IJN) at 7.10pm yesterday at the age of 85.
