DARAA (Syria), April 11 — Israeli occupation forces carried out an incursion on Saturday into the Wadi al-Raqad area in western Daraa countryside and arrested a citizen, Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA) reported.
SANA’s reporter in Daraa said that a force consisting of 12 military vehicles advanced through Tal Abu al-Ghaythar gate on the ceasefire line with the occupied Golan Heights and raided the village of Hamata, deploying within it and storming the home of a young man and arresting him before withdrawing back towards the occupied Golan.
Israeli occupation forces shelled the vicinity of Jamlah village in the Yarmouk Basin area in western Daraa countryside on Friday with several artillery rounds.
Areas in western Daraa countryside, particularly the Yarmouk Basin near the disengagement line, have witnessed recurring attacks by Israeli occupation forces targeting sites and surrounding areas, in violation of the 1974 Disengagement Agreement.
