KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 19 — Eco World Development Group Bhd (EcoWorld) and WDA Sports Technology Sdn Bhd hosted the China-Malaysia 51st Diplomatic Relations Golf Invitational at Templer Park Country Club today.
Sanctioned by the Malaysian Golf Association, the invitational brought together 100 business and community leaders to commemorate the 51st anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries.
“As a follow-up to the tournament, participants will also join a business networking lunch tour at the EcoWorld Gallery @ Eco Grandeur in Puncak Alam on Nov 19, 2025.
“The half-day session will feature a presentation on EcoWorld’s highly sought-after industrial hub — Eco Business Park V,” it said in a statement today.
EcoWorld divisional general manager Datuk Ho Kwee Hong said the invitational is one way for the company to engage with partners from Malaysia and China in a more informal setting, while supporting confidence in trade, investment and future collaboration between both markets.
Meanwhile, WDA Sports Technology chief executive officer Martial Loh said golf provides a practical platform for relationship-building, bringing together cultural exchange, trust and business discussions in a single setting.
“This invitational gives participants the opportunity to spend time together on the course, share perspectives and explore potential areas of cooperation between Malaysia and China.
“Beyond the formal aspects of diplomacy, events like this help to strengthen person-to-person connections, which are important for long-term collaboration,” he said.
