Hyundai Motor Malaysia Debuts With Launch Of Staria, Tucson, Santa Fe

KUALA LUMPUR, July 3 — Hyundai Motor Malaysia (HMY), the newly formed Malaysian entity under Hyundai Motor Company (HMC), has launched three car models — Staria, the new Tucson, and the all-new Santa Fe — to strengthen its footprint in Malaysia.

HMY managing director Jahabarnisa Haja Mohideen said the three car models reflect how Malaysians live, move and travel, from versatile family needs to feature-rich and comfort-driven mobility.

“Each model was chosen with purpose, namely to offer more space, smarter technology, and a safer, more connected driving experience that aligns with the everyday demands of Malaysian drivers,” she said in a statement.

The newly launched car models, Staria, Tucson and Santa Fe, have prices starting from RM179,888, RM143,888 and RM225,000, respectively.

Staria, which caters to a broad range of customer needs, from large families to executive transport and lifestyle use, is available in three variants: Style (10-seater), Prime (10-seater) and Prestige (seven- and 10-seater).

Hyundai also introduces a hybrid variant of the Tucson for the first time in Malaysia, with a striking, sporty new design and significant upgrades to its cabin, connectivity and powertrain offerings.

The all-new Santa Fe will be available in six-seater and seven-seater configurations, catering to Malaysian families who seek flexible space, premium features and advanced safety as part of their everyday drive.

Meanwhile, HMC’s global operation division executive vice-president Young Lee said the launch of HMY reflects more than just a structural shift.

“It represents our commitment to delivering world-class service, quality and care directly to our customers in Malaysia.

“We look forward to supporting our customers here with greater responsiveness, elevated service standards and products that truly meet their needs,” he said.

According to the statement, HMY aims to expand its service footprint to 25 authorised outlets by 2030, ensuring better accessibility for customers nationwide.

Additionally, HMY is offering exclusive benefits to both new and existing customers to celebrate its direct entry into the Malaysian market.

It said the first 100 customers will enjoy free service maintenance for up to eight times, inclusive of labour and parts.

“Hyundai is also reaffirming its commitment to exceptional customer care as all new vehicles will come with an eight-year or 160,000 kilometre warranty and free maintenance labour of up to four times,” it added.
