Toyota Sold 62,246 Vehicles as of August

SHAH ALAM, Sept 9 — UMW Toyota Motor (UMWT) recorded solid sales in August with 9,083 units delivered, bringing its year-to-date total to 62,246 units.

UMWT, in a statement, noted that the performance underscores strong and consistent demand for Toyota vehicles in Malaysia, driven by its multipathway approach that offers a range of electrification solutions while maintaining a line-up of trusted models suited for everyday lifestyles.

According to the statement, Toyota sold 859,865 vehicles in Malaysia over the past decade, from 2015 to August 2025. The figure underscores the brand’s enduring popularity and the confidence local drivers continue to place on it.

Its President Datuk Ravindran K said in the same statement that the company’s focus is not only on delivering quality vehicles but also ensuring that mobility remains meaningful and accessible for all, across every stage of life, from daily journeys to family milestones.

“For decades, Malaysians have placed their trust in Toyota. That trust continues to inspire us. This lasting bond reflects our commitment to mobility for all and is how we continue to move your world. It is this same spirit of unity and progress that we proudly celebrate together with the nation this Merdeka,” he said.

Meanwhile, in conjunction with the Merdeka celebrations, UMWT is offering exclusive promotions throughout September. There are savings to be had of up to RM5,000 on selected models, with additional deals available at Toyota showrooms nationwide.

According to the statement, Toyota owners can also enjoy long-term savings through Toyota Service Savers, a prepaid maintenance programme starting from RM31 per month.

The statement said it is offering up to 10 per cent savings on parts and labour and protects against future price increases.
