IPOH, 23 Feb — Sebuah kilang memproses dan membuat perabot yang beroperasi tanpa lesen sejak setahun lepas\u00a0diserbu dan sejumlah barangan bernilai lebih RM700,000 dirampas dalam\u00a0Operasi Bersepadu Khazanah di Kuala Kangsar hari ini.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Komander Briged Utara Pasukan Gerakan Am (PGA) Ulu Kinta SAC Balveer Singh Mahindar Singh berkata operasi pada 10.30 pagi dengan disertai Polis Diraja Malaysia, Pejabat Perhutanan Daerah Kuala Kangsar, Majlis Perbandaran Kuala Kangsar (MPKK) serta Lembaga Hasil Dalam Negeri (LHDN) Perak itu turut menahan seorang lelaki berusia 43 tahun dipercayai pemilik premis.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cHasil pemeriksaan di kilang itu mendapati pemiliknya gagal mengemukakan permit atau lesen untuk mendirikan dan mengendalikan kilang perabot sebagaimana diperuntukkan di bawah Seksyen 3 (1) Enakmen Industri Berasaskan Kayu 1987 negeri ini,\u201d katanya dalam kenyataan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Beliau berkata siasatan awal mendapati premis itu telah beroperasi sejak awal tahun lepas tanpa kelulusan dan lesen sah daripada pihak berkuasa.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Semakan turut mendapati pemilik premis pernah diberikan dua notis peringatan untuk memohon lesen oleh Pejabat Perhutanan Daerah Kuala Kangsar namun gagal mematuhi arahan tersebut.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Balveer Singh berkata dalam serbuan itu pelbagai mesin dan kelengkapan yang digunakan untuk memproses dan menghasilkan perabot, pelbagai jenis papan lapis <\/em>dan perabot separa siap telah dirampas dengan anggaran berjumlah RM734,990.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cKes diserahkan kepada Pejabat Perhutanan Daerah Kuala Kangsar untuk siasatan lanjut dan pihak MPKK juga telah mengeluarkan dua kompaun kepada pemilik premis atas kesalahan tiada papan tanda iklan perniagaan serta tidak mempunyai lesen perniagaan,\u201d katanya.
