SHAH ALAM, Jan 20 — The government will reset the early education entry age to five for preschool and six for Year 1 from 2027, said Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.
He however said this hasn’t been made compulsory yet so parents, schools and educators can make comprehensive preparations.
He announced the change during the National Education Blueprint 2026-2035 launch ceremony here today.
