Jabal Al-Rahmah in Arafat Welcomes Pilgrims Amid Enhanced Comfort Measures

ARAFAT, June 6 – Jabal Al-Rahmah in Arafat on Thursday welcomed throngs of pilgrims who gathered from early morning, spreading across its slopes to pray and seek mercy and forgiveness, Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported.

This prominent landmark, located 17 kilometres from the Grand Mosque and rising about 65 metres high, holds deep religious significance as the place where Prophet Muhammad delivered his Farewell Sermon.

Reflecting the leadership’s commitment to pilgrim welfare, new projects totalling 196,000 square metres have been implemented around Jabal Al-Rahmah to combat heat stress.

These initiatives include 1,200 square metres of canopies equipped with 129 misting fans, moderating the atmosphere and reducing temperatures to ensure a comfortable and safe environment for pilgrims.
