Vietnam’s Southern Hub to Train 400 Key Metro Management Personnel by 2045

HANOI, Dec. 2 (Xinhua) — Vietnam’s southern hub Ho Chi Minh City will train 400 key management personnel by 2045 to operate seven new metro lines, VnExpress reported Tuesday.

The move is part of the city’s newly approved plan to develop a specialized technical and management workforce for its metro system, aiming to operate seven lines spanning 355 km by 2035 and 510 km by 2045.

The plan seeks to build a highly qualified team capable of planning, constructing, managing, operating and maintaining the metro system in line with international standards.

Under the plan, the city will train 160 metro project management personnel by 2030, increasing to 310 by 2035.
