Nearly 891,000 Foreign Pilgrims Arrive in Saudi Arabia for Hajj Season

RIYADH, May 25 — A total of 890,883 pilgrims from abroad have arrived in Saudi Arabia for the 1446H Hajj season as of Friday (May 23), Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported according to the General Directorate of Passports.

In a statement on Saturday, the directorate said that out of the total number of pilgrims, 846,415 entered the Kingdom via international airports, 41,646 arrived through land border crossings, and 2,822 came by sea.

The directorate reaffirmed its commitment to facilitating the entry process for pilgrims by deploying advanced technologies and multilingual staff at air, land and sea entry points.
