All-Malaysian Final Guarantees Malaysia the French Open Men’s Doubles Crown

KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 25 — Malaysia is guaranteed the men’s doubles title at the French Open 2026 after both Man Wei Chong-Tee Kai Wun and independent pair Goh Sze Fei-Nur Izzuddin Mohd Rumsani secured their spots in the final at Arena Grand Paris early today.

Wei Chong-Kai Wun booked their place with a 21-16, 21-15 victory over Indonesia’s Raymond Indra-Nikolaus Joaquin in 31 minutes.

Sze Fei-Nur Izzuddin joined them in the final of the BWF World Tour Super 750 tournament after defeating Indonesia’s Leo Rolly Carnando-Daniel Marthin 22-20, 21-9, also in 31 minutes.

Sze Fei-Nur Izzuddin, who won the Indonesia Masters in January and the Indonesia Open in June, are currently ranked fifth in the world, while Wei Chong-Kai Wun are ranked 11th.

Meanwhile, this will be the second final of the season for both Wei Chong and Kai Wun, following their respective appearances in the Korea Masters final in August with different partners.

Kai Wun, paired with Yap Roy King, won the title by defeating Wei Chong, who partnered Soh Wooi Yik.

The head-to-head record favours Sze Fei-Nur Izzuddin, who have won two of their three previous meetings with Wei Chong-Kai Wun.
