KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 24 — The Bahrain Motor Federation (BMF) has outlined its organisational and logistical plans for the Formula 1 Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix in Malaysia, which will be held at the Sepang International Circuit from Oct 2 to 4.
According to Bahrain News Agency (BNA), BMF General Manager and head of the federation’s delegation Abdulaziz Al Thawadi chaired a coordination meeting with representatives of the organising teams at the Bahraini delegation’s accommodation in Kuala Lumpur on Sunday.
The meeting was attended by race coordinator and secretary Mohammed Al Jowder.
The meeting reviewed the work plan and organisational arrangements for hosting the Bahrain race at Sepang International Circuit, as well as the technical, logistical and organisational aspects of the event.
The meeting also discussed plans to receive teams and staff arriving from the Kingdom of Bahrain next week, including airport reception, transport, accommodation at the delegation’s official hotel and coordination between the various organisations and teams involved.
The arrangements are aimed at ensuring everything is ready before the race events begin and the Bahraini organisers arrive in Kuala Lumpur.
The meeting emphasised the importance of continued coordination and cooperation between all organising teams, raising readiness levels and working as one team to ensure the success of the event and reflect Bahrain’s organisational standing in hosting and staging major sporting events.
The meeting is part of a series of meetings and coordination efforts by the BMF delegation in cooperation with Bahrain International Circuit (BIC) in preparation for the major international event and to complete all organisational, technical and logistical arrangements before the Bahraini teams and staff arrive in Malaysia.
The BMF team, in cooperation with BIC, continues its preparations to host the Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix at Sepang International Circuit, drawing on the extensive organisational and technical experience of both sides in hosting and staging major international events and races.
These efforts highlight the experience and standing of the BMF and BIC in motorsport, as well as the growing role of Bahraini personnel in organising and managing international events. They aim to ensure the Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix in Malaysia is held to the highest international standards and reflects the importance and popularity of the event.
Sepang International Circuit is expected to host intense competition from Oct 2 to 4 in one of the Formula One season’s leading rounds, with widespread public and media attention. Organisational and technical preparations are continuing to ensure the circuit is ready to host the international event.
