KUALA LUMPUR, July 14 — Parti Wawasan Negara officially became a component party of Perikatan Nasional (PN) after the Registrar of Societies (RoS) approved Parti Cinta Malaysia’s (PCM) application to change its name on July 6.
PN secretary-general Datuk Seri Takiyuddin Hassan said the RoS approved the application to change Parti Cinta Malaysia’s name to Parti Wawasan Negara on the same date, in accordance with Clause 6.5 of the PN Constitution.
“PN has been informed that the RoS approved the application to rename Parti Cinta Malaysia (PCM) to Parti Wawasan Negara on July 6, 2026.
“Following the approval, Parti Wawasan Negara officially became a component party of Perikatan Nasional from that date in accordance with Clause 6.5 of the PN Constitution,” he said in a statement today.
The formation of Parti Wawasan Negara was announced by former Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (Bersatu) deputy president Datuk Seri Hamzah Zainudin on June 13.
