KUALA LUMPUR, June 2 — Malaysia remains a key market for VistaJet’s global growth strategy, underpinned by the country’s strategic position as a gateway to Southeast Asia and its importance as a hub for both regional and international travel.
VistaJet is a charter and private aviation airline operated by Vista Global Holding Ltd (Vista).
Vista president of Asia Pacific Crystal Wong said Malaysia was VistaJet’s standout Southeast Asian destination in the company’s financial year 2025 (FY2025), recording a 59 per cent year-on-year growth in flight hours and 74 per cent growth in flight legs in the same period.
The growth was mainly due to strong and growing demand from Malaysian corporates, entrepreneurs and globally mobile families, she said.
“Malaysia was the first market we entered in Southeast Asia and remains strategically important today, as demand continues to grow for flexible, direct and globally connected travel solutions across the region.
“This regional growth also forms part of VistaJet’s broader global strategy to deepen its presence in high-growth aviation markets,” she told Bernama.
According to real-estate consultancy Knight Frank’s latest Wealth Report, several Southeast Asian markets are expected to see some of the world’s fastest growth in ultra-high-net-worth populations by 2031, including 20.1 per cent growth for Malaysia.
On a regional scale, Crystal said VistaJet’s Southeast Asia market would continue to grow, benefiting from strong wealth growth, international business expansion and increasing demand for larger, longer-range aircraft.
“We remain positive for our performance in FY2026, as we anticipate stronger customer uptake moving forward, particularly as clients increasingly prioritise time efficiency, privacy, direct connectivity and the ability to travel seamlessly between global business and lifestyle hubs,” she said.
Vista is one of the world’s leading private aviation groups, with operations spanning more than 2,400 airports across over 200 countries and territories.
