KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 9 — The National Farmers’ Organisation (NAFAS) has achieved an impressive sales of RM2.02 million at the Malaysia Agriculture, Horticulture and Agro-Tourism Exhibition (MAHA) 2026, exceeding the initial target by 685 per cent.
NAFAS in a statement today announced that the sales exceeded the original target of RM295,000, followed by the signing of eight Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) and Memorandums of Agreement (MoA) worth a total of RM1.977 billion.
This achievement thus makes MAHA 2026 an important platform for NAFAS to expand its market, strengthen its strategic network and open up new growth opportunities.
“The sales performance of RM2,021,986.50 was driven by the strength of NAFAS’ various business units, including NAFAS divisions and subsidiaries.
“The achievement is not just an increase in sales figures but also reflects the market acceptance of the products, services and solutions offered by the NAFAS business ecosystem,” the statement said.
NAFAS announced that the signing of the strategic agreement worth RM1.977 billion also demonstrates the strong confidence of industry partners in the organisation’s ability to explore new opportunities in the agro-food and agricultural input sectors.
Among the major collaborations signed is a partnership worth RM1.5 billion with Guizhou Phosphate Chemical Group (GPC) and Jiangsu Chemical Design Institute (CDIJS) to explore the development of an integrated phosphate fertilizer industry in the country, covering aspects of raw material supply, development of processing facilities, technology transfer and development of local technical expertise
“This high-impact collaboration is in line with NAFAS’ efforts to strengthen the agricultural input supply chain and support the national food security agenda,” the statement said.
Apart from acting as one of the Strategic Partners of MAHA 2026 at Hall A, Malaysia Agricultural Exhibition Park Serdang (MAEPS), NAFAS also highlighted its value chain at the Padi Zone, Smart Farming Zone and Kingdom of Agrifood Zone covering aspects of input and technology, production and rice field management, to agrofood and financing.
NAFAS also sees the achievements of MAHA 2026 as a manifestation of the organization’s new momentum as it moves from the recovery phase to the growth phase with a clearer focus on high-impact businesses.
“Along with the NAFAS 2.0 Reform Plan, the organization will continue to strengthen commercial capabilities, expand strategic networks and optimise assets and resources to create higher value for the farmer movement.
“The achievements at MAHA 2026 are proof that NAFAS is not just present as a participant, but is present to create value, open opportunities and build new growth for the farmer movement and the country’s food security,” the statement said.
