KUANTAN, May 6 — The Pahang state government received a courtesy call from a Singaporean delegation led by Senior Minister Lee Hsien Loong today to strengthen bilateral ties.
Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Wan Rosdy Wan Ismail said the meeting provided a valuable platform for strategic discussions to enhance cooperation between Pahang and Singapore, particularly in investment, economic development, tourism, education, and other high-impact sectors.
“The state government is confident that the existing relationship will continue to grow for mutual prosperity, while opening up wider opportunities for collaboration that will benefit the people and support the state’s development,” he said in a Facebook post.
Members of the delegation included Singapore Minister of State for the Foreign Affairs Ministry (MFA) and the Social and Family Development Ministry Zhulkarnain Abdul Rahim, Singaporean MP Joan Pereira, Singapore High Commissioner to Malaysia Vanu Gopala Menon, as well as officials from the MFA.
The Pahang government leadership, including state Public Works, Transport and Health committee chairman Datuk Razali Kassim, state Investment, Industry, Science, Technology, and Innovation committee chairman Datuk Mohamad Nizar Mohamad Najib, and State Secretary Datuk Seri Nazri Abu Bakar, welcomed them.
Lee is on a five-day visit to Pahang and Terengganu from yesterday until Friday (May 8).
