BEIJING, April 19 – China’s humanoid robots have completed the Beijing E-Town half-marathon, with one top-performing model finishing in around 48 minutes under controlled conditions. The result brings robots closer than ever to matching elite human endurance, with machines and runners crossing the finish line within a similar time frame.
In last year’s inaugural race, the humanoid robot Tiangong Ultra claimed the championship by completing the race in 2 hours, 40 minutes and 42 seconds.
