Negeri Sembilan State Assembly Sitting Adjourns Sine Die

SEREMBAN, April 23 — The 15th Negeri Sembilan State Legislative Assembly sitting was adjourned sine die.

Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Aminuddin Harun confirmed the matter after the opening ceremony, which was graced by the Yang Dipertuan Besar of Negeri Sembilan, Tuanku Muhriz Tuanku Munawir, this morning.

“The State Assembly sitting has been adjourned sine die, taking into account the current circumstances,” he told reporters briefly at the Wisma Negeri lobby.

According to the State Assembly’s calendar, the proceedings should run for four days starting today and resume on April 27.

Speaker Datuk MK Ibrahim Abd Rahman announced the adjournment earlier, saying that the decision was made after considering the present situation and the need to ensure the smooth conduct of future proceedings.

He said new dates would be proposed for Tuanku Muhriz’s consent before notifying all assembly members.

“Today’s opening ceremony fulfils the necessary requirements, which allow for the adjournment of the sitting…I hope that any issues in Negeri Sembilan can be resolved before we reconvene,” he said.
