Bangladeshi Gaming Influencer Killed in MEX Crash

SHAH ALAM, Apr 24 — The identity of the victim who died in a crash on the Maju Expressway (MEX) yesterday has been confirmed as Bangladeshi gaming influencer Muzahid Millad, 22.

The victim died after the vehicle he was travelling in with his wife was hit while they were en route from Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA).

His wife, Nafisa Tabassum Adiba, 23, was injured and is receiving treatment at Kuala Lumpur Hospital (HKL).

The couple had reportedly just arrived in Malaysia from Habiganj, Bangladesh, for a one-week holiday in the capital before the tragedy occurred.

Muzahid’s death has sparked grief within the online gaming community in Bangladesh.

On social media, hashtags such as #JusticeForMuzahid, #JusticeForAdvanceGaming and #BangladeshDemandsJustice have gone viral, calling for strict action against the perpetrator.

His YouTube channel, Advance Gaming, which has more than 777,000 followers, also uploaded a statement in Bengali confirming his death and asking the public to pray for him.

Earlier, police arrested a 31-year-old army personnel suspected of driving under the influence of alcohol, which led to the fatal crash.

The case is being investigated under Section 44(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987 (Act 333), which provides for imprisonment of up to 15 years and a maximum fine of RM100,000 upon conviction.

Meanwhile, Nafisa’s uncle, Mohibul Hassan, 50, has called for justice and urged that appropriate action be taken under Malaysian law. – Media Selangor
