Kuala Lumpur, Sept 27 — Dato’ Keith Li, President of the PUCM (China Entrepreneurs Association in Malaysia), delivered remarks at the farewell reception for Chinese Ambassador to Malaysia Ouyang Yujing, co-hosted by PUCM and The Federation of Malaysia Chinese Commerce Association (FEMACCA) yesterday.
“In my mind, Ambassador Ouyang Yujing is not only an excellent diplomat, but more like an amiable brother, who always offers us guidance, support and assistance,” he said.
Dato’ Keith Li noted that during his tenure, Ambassador Ouyang attached great importance to Malaysia-China economic and trade exchanges as well as scientific and technological innovation. He actively promoted bilateral corporate cooperation and people-to-people exchanges between the two nations. The Ambassador attended multiple events organised by PUCM, including the China Smart Industry Trade Exhibition and the Malaysia-China 50th Diplomatic Anniversary Dinner, to foster innovation and technology collaboration between Malaysia and China.
Li also mentioned that Ambassador Ouyang and the Chinese Embassy in Malaysia have maintained close ties with Chinese nationals and new overseas Chinese residing in Malaysia. Under the Embassy’s guidance and support, PUCM partnered with the Embassy to distribute Lunar New Year care packages to Chinese citizens in Malaysia for four consecutive years from 2023 to 2026. These efforts have delivered care and warmth to overseas Chinese communities abroad, earning widespread acclaim among Chinese nationals in Malaysia.
Li stated that PUCM will continue to advance Malaysia-China trade and investment, smart technology cooperation and grassroots exchanges. PUCM will keep serving as a bridge between both sides, contributing to deeper friendly cooperation between the two countries.
