Johor DAP Delegates Free to Decide Whether to Remain in Unity Govt – Teo

KULAI, Aug 14  — Johor DAP is giving its delegates the freedom to decide at this Sunday’s DAP Conference whether the party should remain in or leave the Unity Government.

Johor DAP chairman Teo Nie Ching said they would abide by whatever decision is made through a vote by delegates at the conference.

“Actually, we have not taken a position at the state level because it involves a vote. We are giving delegates the freedom to make the decision at this Sunday’s conference.

“So, it is up to them. Yesterday, we held a dialogue session with the secretary-general (Anthony Loke) to explain the motion. Johor will abide by the decision made on Sunday,” she said.

Teo said this when met after the handover ceremony for allocations under the 2026 MADANI Adopted School Programme by the Ministry of Communications at Sekolah Kebangsaan Murni Jaya in Kampung Murni Jaya, Layang-Layang, here today.

The Deputy Communications Minister also said she was confident that delegates would be able to make the best decision for the direction of the party and the country.
