TEHRAN, May 18 — Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf has been appointed as the country’s special representative for China’s affairs.
Mehr News Agency (MNA) reported that, according to the available information, Ghalibaf was named as Iran’s Special Envoy for China’s Affairs.
Ghalibaf has assumed this responsibility as Iran’s special representative following the president’s proposal and the Leader’s approval.
Previously, this responsibility had been undertaken by former Secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council (SNSC), late Ali Larijani and incumbent Iran’s Ambassador to China Abdolreza Rahmani Fazli.
