NEW YORK, May 7 — US broadcaster Fox and jobs portal Indeed are looking for a fan to watch all 104 matches at the men’s football World Cup on television — with US$50,00 on offer for the lucky supporter, reported German Press Agency (dpa).
The unique job application was published five weeks before the June 11 start of the expanded 48-team tournament in the United States, Mexico and Canada. It concludes on July 19.
The fan will watch the games from “a custom-built viewing space located in the heart of Times Square in New York City”, Fox said on Wednesday.
The supporter is expected to create social media content during the World Cup, which features the final group matches happening at the same time. The fan will have to view two televisions.
